Dinas Kesehatan Kota Tasikmalaya mencatat sebanyak 3.219 ibu hamil
sejak bulan Januari hingga Maret 2020 selama masa pandemi COVID-19.
Dimana jumlah angka kehamilan ibu di Kota Tasikmalaya Jawa Barat ini
berdasarkan dari hasil kontak pertama ibu hamil dengan petugas di
puskesmas dan posyandu di wilayah Kota Tasikmalaya.
Berdasarkan data selama triwulan pertama di tahun 2020 sejak bulan Januari hingga Maret tercatat sebanyak 3.219 ibu dinyatakan hamil. Rinciannya pada bulan Januari sebanyak 1.111 ibu hamil, Februari 1.106 ibu hamil dan pada bulan Maret 2020 ada sebanyak 1.002 ibu mengalami hamil.
Namun Dinas Kesehatan Kota Tasikmalaya belum bisa memastikan apakah angka kehamilan yang terjadi saat ini ada kaitannya dengan pandemi COVID-19. Dimana adanya anjuran di rumah saja, social distancing dan physikal distancing baru dilakukan pada bulan Maret 2020 dan PSBB baru dilakukan hari Rabu 6 Mei
Dengan adanya pembatasan wilayah (PSBB), imbauan di rumah saja dan social distancing membuat masyarakat dan pasangan suami istri saat ini lebih banyak berdiam diri di rumah sehingga tidak menutup kemungkinan kondisi ini membuat banyak ibu muda yang hamil.
Kepala Dinas Kesehatan Kota Tasikmalaya Dokter Uu Supangat mengatakan, pihaknya menduga pencatatan kontak pertama ibu hamil di Kota Tasikmalaya tidak sesuai data asli di lapangan artinya angka di lapangan bisa lebih besar dari pada catatan.
“Hal ini karena sejak adanya pandemi COVID-19 pemeriksaan ibu hamil terkendala dimana layanan posyandu dihentikan karena banyak orang yang takut datang ke puskesmas atau ke posyandu,” kata dia, Kamis (7/5/2020).

“Jika dibandingkan dengan jumlah ibu hamil pada triwulan pertama tahun 2019 lalu. Angka ini justru mengalami penurunan dari 3.226 pada tahun 2019 menjadi 3.219 ibu hamil pada tahun 2020 dengan penurunan sebanyak 27 kehamilan,” tandasnya.
